Trump tried — and failed — to make a deal on health care

For a man known as “the closer,” the effort was fraught from the start. The collapse of the health-care overhaul Friday afternoon was perhaps the sharpest rebuke yet of Donald Trump’s young presidency, even as he repeatedly asked his advisers, “Is this really a good bill?”
