PRICHARD, AL (WKRG) — Prichard Police have arrested four individuals in connection with a police chase that occurred earlier this morning.

A Prichard police officer was attempting to pull over a gold Grand Marquis for running a stop sign when the vehicle took off. From there, a police chase ensued. The Grand Marquis crashed into an elderly residents’ fence in the Alabama village. All five passengers in that vehicle took off on foot and at least one of those individuals fired 3-4 shots at a Prichard Police officer.

Prichard police discovered the vehicle had an expired tag and was stolen.

A manhunt followed this incident and three of the five individuals in the Grand Marquis were taken into custody. A fourth person, who police believe was acting as a getaway driver for at least one of these suspects, has also been arrested.

The getaway driver, a 24-year-old, was found to have marijuana and spice in his possession.

Two of the passengers in the Grand Marquis are still on the loose and are considered to be armed and dangerous by the Prichard Police.

We are told that two of the suspects in the Grand Marquis are 18-years-old and the other three are underage.
